Elementary school GGS Garthestraße new in the network „School without racism -
On October 10, 2025, Garthestraße Community Primary School in Riehl joined the „School without Racism - School with Courage“ and „School of Diversity“ networks. At the atmospheric admission ceremony, pupils presented contributions on the topic of diversity that they had previously submitted to an internal school competition. These included their own poems and stories and expressive posters. The school's sponsor is André Schulze Isfort, President of the StattGarde Colonia Ahoj carnival club. The Courage Network aims to combat racism and discrimination and to promote the appreciation of diversity.

Project launch „Culturally sensitive advice for Cologne senior citizens“ at BFmF e.V. and InterKultur
On 27 May 2025, the Cologne City Council approved a bill for the financial support of migrant organizations (MO) for the years 2025 and 2026. The aim of this funding programme is to support the important work of migrant organizations in Cologne, which make a significant contribution to social cohesion and integration. Migrant organizations are committed to the interests of Cologne residents with an international family history, who now make up at least 40 % of the population. At the same time, they promote peaceful and respectful coexistence in urban society. The funding program includes various thematic focuses, including culturally sensitive advice for senior citizens in Cologne. Network meeting "School without racism - school with courage"
The „School without Racism - School with Courage“ network meeting for teachers and school social workers from primary and special schools in the administrative district of Cologne took place on October 7, 2025. The main topic of this event was „Democracy (values) education“ in the classroom. Lina Kathe from 10drei e.V. presented the 10drei approach and the 10drei workshop formats. "Fatherhood" training series launched
The state government of North Rhine-Westphalia specifically promotes fatherhood work at the municipal integration centers in order to strengthen fathers with a history of immigration in their role as family fathers. The aim is to support them in their parenting role and to emphasize their importance as positive role models for their children. Working with fathers plays a crucial role, particularly in the context of preventing extremism and violence: they should be strengthened and integrated as active and responsible caregivers in education and the communication of values. Intercultural centers strengthen the political participation of first-time voters in the
The Intercultural Centers support the participation of people with a history of immigration and are participating in the "Demokratie Leben" (Living Democracy) funding program of the Partnerships for Democracy in Cologne in 2025.
