talentCAMPus
The talentCAMPus is a project of the Cologne Adult Education Center in cooperation with the Municipal Integration Center and the Learning Region - Cologne Network.
Children and young people can explore their strengths and talents in the talentCAMPus vacation project. Around 140 children and young people aged between nine and 14 take part in this project every year for two weeks during the summer vacations. It takes place at the Henry-Ford-Realschule in Cologne-Chorweiler and is aimed at children and young people from Cologne who are in special life situations and have recently immigrated, for example.
The aim of the project is to promote the creativity and skills of children and young people. By actively engaging with art and culture, they can develop new interests and perspectives, make friends and also improve their German language skills.
Workshops are offered on a range of topics, from rap/hip-hop, singing and dancing, drawing, tailoring and unicycling to social learning. The workshops are held Monday to Friday from 9 am to 4 pm. All offers are free of charge, including lunch and KVB tickets where applicable.
The Municipal Integration Center of the City of Cologne participates in the financial support of the project and advertises it to the schools. The registration period usually begins after the Easter vacations.
