- The Violence protection concept defines quality standards for the accommodation of refugees. The accommodation for refugees should be places where the people living there can feel safe. The concept is used by the municipal coordination office to check which standards have already been implemented in each facility and where there is still a need for action.
- The Ombudsman's office is run by the Cologne Refugee Council and serves as a complaints office, primarily for refugees who are housed in municipal accommodation. It receives information from refugees, volunteers, employees and other people in connection with problems in the accommodation.
