The Committee for Equal Opportunities and Integration of the City of Cologne (formerly the Integration Council) is democratically elected and represents the interests of new immigrants and all Cologne residents with an international family history at municipal level. It is a specialist body of the Council and is responsible for the topics of migration, equal opportunities and equal participation in the city of Cologne.
The Round table for refugee issues deals with the integration, accommodation and support of refugees in Cologne. It ensures a city-wide dialog on refugee policy issues, networks the relevant players and advises the council and administration.

The aim is to sensitize politicians and administrators to the reality of life for people with an international family history in the city and to understand migration as a lived normality and potential in our pluralistic society. The Committee for Equal Opportunities and Integration makes concrete proposals to politicians and administrators and provides important impetus to ensure equal opportunities and political participation, especially for people with an international history in Cologne's urban society.
It is managed by the Office for Integration and Diversity. The Committee for Equal Opportunities and Integration is a democratically elected body of the City of Cologne. The members are made up of 22 directly elected Cologne residents with an international family history and 11 councillors.

The round table for refugee issues
The Round Table for Refugee Issues advises the council and administration on refugee policy matters and works on viable solutions for the accommodation and integration of refugees in Cologne.
Its central tasks include analyzing the current accommodation situation, searching for suitable locations and improving acceptance among the population. It also works to optimize accommodation conditions, promotes long-term city-wide dialogue and supports the networking of volunteer initiatives. Another focus is on providing ongoing advice to the administration on issues relating to the accommodation and care of refugees.
