The Municipal Integration Center cordially invites all primary school teachers who work with newly arrived children and young people to the event „Playful Language Development through Movement“.
In this workshop you will learn about many small movement-based games and activities that can help newly arrived students learn the German language. In particular, activities for introducing grammar structures, vocabulary training, and encouraging oral communication will be presented. We will try many of the games together and also consider how to adapt them to the language level, age, and needs of the respective learning group. Games for children who have not yet learned the alphabet will also be included.
Most activities require little preparation or material. A map, a few dice, a small ball, and plenty of writing materials are enough. How about people memory, treasure hunt, monster drawing, or a vocabulary quiz?
You will receive an extensive digital handout containing tips on games and movement activities, as well as access to a Padlet with tips and information about DAZ teaching.
We look forward to your participation and the exchange of ideas!
