KöKiPat - Cologne children's sponsorships
What is KöKiPat?
KöKiPat is an abbreviation for „Kölner Kinder-Patenschaften“.
The project is run by the Cologne Refugee Council and the Cologne Volunteer Agency.
The Municipal Integration Center has been supporting the KöKiPat project with money since 2014.
What happens in the project?
Primary school children with a history of flight are accompanied and supported by a mentor for a year outside of school. The mentor does not receive any money for this, they do it on a voluntary basis, so to speak.
If the children's parents allow it, the teachers and school social workers register the children for the project.
The families receive support from the Cologne Refugee Council.
If you would like to become a sponsor, please contact the Cologne Volunteer Agency.
The volunteer agency prepares sponsors and accompanies them during the sponsorship.
