Guide to living in Cologne

What should I bear in mind when looking for an apartment? How should a tenancy agreement be structured? What service charges are justified? What rights and obligations do I have as a tenant and what should I bear in mind when moving out? These and many other important questions are answered in the brochure „Wegweiser Wohnen in Köln“.
In addition to the Cologne Tenants' Association and the Municipal Integration Center, which provided the ideas, the Refugee Coordination Department and the Office for Housing of the City of Cologne as well as the other providers of municipal move-out management - Caritas-Verband Köln, the German Red Cross and the Cologne Refugee Council - and the Jobcenter Köln were involved in the design and implementation. They were actively supported by volunteers involved in refugee work, who are already contributing their expertise and perspectives to the city's project work in a structured and continuous manner.
