Our tasks include the

• Strengthening the coordination and networking of local integration work
• Improving educational opportunities for children and young people with an international family history
• Management of the Integration Council and the Round Table for Refugee Issues
• Advice for newly arrived children and young people and their parents on the school and education system
• Supporting and coordinating the further development of the intercultural opening of Cologne's city administration
• Monitoring the „Concept for strengthening the integrative urban society” and the “Intercultural program of measures”
• Support and advice for intercultural centers
• Promotion of multilingualism
• Promotion of projects such as anti-racism projects, integration guides, help for people without papers and so on.
• Implementation of state funding and projects such as KOMM-AN NRW to promote and support voluntary work and Kommunales Integrationsmanagement (KIM) to improve administrative processes across departments
